The mission of the church reflects the mission of Jesus to teach, preach, heal, and forgive. Through these acts, Jesus shares the good news of salvation and invites all people to share in the life and love of God. The task of handing on the Gospel is entrusted to the whole community, who by word and example, form young and new members in the way of the Gospel. St. John Vianney’s Faith Formation assists parents in teaching the basics of faith through liturgical experience, instruction, and faith formation, assists individuals to develop as believers, and assists with the ongoing spiritual formation of the whole community.

Confirmation and First Holy Communion

• Grade Level: 3rd Grade 

• Curriculum: Together in Jesus: Confirmation and First Eucharist (Pflaum)

• Date for Receiving the Sacraments:  Tuesday, April 1, at 7:00 (arrive by 5:45)

• Location:  Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Congratulations to the 12 youngsters from St. John Vianney Parish who received the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
